table
Dolomite construction table,
500Kg of waste marble put on legs.
Designed on comission for the Countdown Upcycling project located in Bolzano, Italy this table was the result of a research on the local marble industry.
Seeing the waste material generated by these companies immediately I was fascinated by the immense boulders cut clean like a loaf of bread. With the rest mashed up in a grinder to use as roadfill
Inspired by the high voltage electrical posts bolted into the rock faces of the dolomites the table legs were attached onto the natural age old, rockface of the table, revealing the clean cut scurface and inside of the stone on top.
